Celebrating International Non-Binary People’s Day on July 14

July 14 is International Non-Binary People’s Day! We celebrate the diverse and vibrant community of people who identify as non-binary. Non-binary individuals are those who do not exclusively identify as male or female, and instead identify outside of the traditional gender binary. This can include individuals who identify as both, neither, or somewhere in between.

Non-binary identities have been present throughout history and across cultures, but have only recently gained more visibility and recognition in mainstream society. As a result, many non-binary individuals still face stigma, discrimination, and lack of understanding from others.

It is crucial that we all work towards creating a world where non-binary people are fully accepted and celebrated for who they are. This means educating ourselves and others about non-binary identities and experiences, using inclusive language, and advocating for policies and practices that are non-binary inclusive. We recommend starting with celebrities who are out, proud, and making history.

TriPride is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive community for all individuals, including those who identify as non-binary. We recognize that the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance is not over until every member of our community is seen, heard, and valued.

To all our non-binary friends and family, we see you and we celebrate you. We stand with you in solidarity and will continue to advocate for your rights and well-being. Happy International Non-Binary People’s Day!
