Why Brown?

You may have noticed in our new logo the color brown mixed in with the traditional LGBTQ rainbow colors. If you’re reading this, you probably wondered, “Why Brown?”

Simply put, we decided to include the color because it worked with the rest of them. It worked, not just visually, but also symbolically. Folks of color have historically been disenfranchised and left out of the conversation, including among LGBTQ people. So if by including this color, we can show that TriPride strives to be inclusive and welcoming to our LGBTQ friends and family members of color, then why wouldn’t we add the color in? After all, we come in all shapes, colors, and sizes.

What’s one more friend at the table?
